Dementia Awareness Flowers
Dementia Awareness Week takes place between 14th and 20th May this year, and to support this crucial event one of our Teesside staff has created a unique badge which you can wear with pride.
Maureen Robson, one of our amazing Service Managers based in Stockton-on-Tees is also a wiz when it comes to crochet. Using her skills she has created her own forget-me-not brooch to raise money and awareness for dementia projects in the North East.
If you would like to order one get in touch with Maureen by calling our Stockton office on 01642 633556. They cost just £1 each and all proceeds will go to support some incredible local projects.
Maureen is also encouraging people to make their own to raise money in their own local areas. She said "If crochet is something you've got experience with, or even if you're a first timer, this is a great project that anyone can have a go at. Have a look on YouTube for 'how to crochet a dementia friends forget-me-not' and you'll find lots of handy tips to get you going."
