Avalon Appreciation Awards

Congratulations to all employees who have received an Avalon Appreciation Award

This is a scheme to reward anyone who has done anything out of the ordinary to benefit Avalon's customers or the organisation.

Caroline Croll and Heather Carter, Support Workers, nominated by Silim

Christine Shepard, Support Worker, nominated by Michael, York

'You have helped me with my confidence in being independent. I can talk to you about my problems and you always listen. You are fantastic.'

Asha Huskinson, Support Worker, nominated by the Barber family, Teesside

'We can’t praise Asha enough for the help she gives our son David. She is an angel. David loves to go out with Asha, it is the highlight of his week.'

Andres Alba, Support Worker and Volunteer, nominated by Avalon Freedom

'For supporting the holiday to Lanzarote and giving members of the group an excellent holiday by going above and beyond what is expected.'

Stacey Hinks, Support Worker, nominated by Suzi Pursell, Dewsbury

'For always putting in extra effort and going above and beyond normal duties. She carries out extra shifts at short notice, allowing service to run smoothly.'

Kerry Fisher, Support Worker, nominated by L Hardman and A McKeown

'Kerry has taken responsibility for restarting a customer social club, and helping run the club. Her input has been invaluable.'

Tracey Bennett, Former Support Worker, by A McKeown and S Purcell

'Tracey ran Buttons and Bows at Ferry Court. When she left she kindly volunteered to still take the class, ensuring customers didn’t miss out.'
