I've spent the majority of 21 years either travelling independently or working in the travel industry.
My career has included leading groups through Europe as a tour manager, working as a guide, an entertainer for the over 55s, a commercial manager for a large tour operator and leading groups around the world as an officer in the Merchant Navy.
My hobbies include walking, pilates, singing with Rock Choir and – obviously(!) – travel.
Personal adventures have included back-packing around the world twice and walking the Great Wall of China as part of a charity challenge.

I have worked for Avalon since 2003, and joined the holiday team as a Holiday Co-ordinator in 2005.
I work with a great team, and go on some of the holidays, as a Holiday Supporter or Leader.
The holidays are great fun. I get to work with all our wonderfully dedicated supporters and lovely holiday makers, who make up the holiday groups.
Along with all my memories of fabulous holidays, I have made many friends, and been to fantastic places, both in the UK and Europe. Jersey is one of my favourite destinations.
