Supported Housing

The Avalon Group works with property owners, Local Authorities and Housing Associations to provide housing and support to people who need it.

We provide this service for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, visual and/or sensory loss, mental health difficulties and older adults.

The type of housing we offer ranges from individual flats and houses to shared accommodation (for a maximum of three people). The level of support can range from a few hours a week to 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

The support is similar to Community Support but includes additional help with such issues as housing repairs and maintenance or neighbourhood relations.

 Support can include:

• Help with domestic chores and food preparation
• Assistance with money and paying bills
• Teaching people about safety and security both in their own home and in the community
• Encouraging people to take on the roles and responsibilities of citizens within their community
