Hi I’m Karen and I’m the Head of People at Avalon. I’ve been with Avalon since 2013, initially as the HR Advisor before being promoted to HR Manager and in 2023 becoming Head of People to oversee our HR and L&D teams.
Previously I worked in local authority HR functions, covering both HR advisory roles and also more specific functions in Workforce Development and Analysis.
In my spare time I love to sing and am a member of a choir. I also enjoy spending time with my family and going for walks with my dog.
The best thing about working for Avalon is the way in which we work together in spite of the distances between us – there are always challenges but everyone brings their skills and knowledge and together we always find a solution.
