Steven Law
Locality Manager – Harrogate & Skipton
I’ve worked with Avalon for over 15 years, beginning my journey as a Support Worker before progressing through roles as Support Coordinator, Service Manager, and Senior Service Manager within our Teesside office. I’m now proud to be the Locality Manager overseeing two localities: Harrogate and Skipton.
I’m passionate about learning, having completed my BA in Business Management and Master’s in Accounting and Finance at Teesside University before starting my career at Avalon. During my time with the organisation, I’ve gained extensive experience in leading teams, supporting people to live fulfilling lives, and developing high-quality services that make a real difference. I’ve successfully grown services in Teesside and built strong relationships with key partners, which has helped secure new support packages and strengthen our local presence. I also hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
I’m really enjoying the new challenges of working across two localities, supporting my teams, collaborating with colleagues, driving growth and developing services. I take a very hands-on approach and am committed to making a positive impact everyday.
I have strong links to my Indian heritage. My parents are from India, and my wife was born there. I’m fluent in Hindi and Punjabi, which helps me communicate effectively with people from diverse communities.
Outside of work, I’m a proud father to a five year old son and a passionate Liverpool FC supporter. I’m a very active person who enjoys sports. I enjoy going to the gym for strength training, playing football, and recently taken up padel tennis. I also love being outdoors and travelling with my family. Staying active helps me manage stress and maintain balance, especially with the demands of my role.
