Mental Health Support
Our aim is to improve the lives of people severely affected by mental illness through our network of support workers and Shared Lives carers. We are very proud of the successful outcomes we achieve with the people we support. We want to make sure everyone with mental health needs has a good quality of life.
Mental illness can affect all areas of your life, but we are here to help. We support people with a mental health need to live a fulfilling life by meeting not just their mental health needs, but also supporting their physical health needs, their place within their community and their right for control over their lives. Whether you need support with one aspect of your daily life, such as maintaining physical health, or with all aspects of daily living, we will create a personalised support plan in collaboration with you and your family, to make sure you have everything you want and need.
It's not always easy to navigate your own way through local support systems and networks, however we work closely with NHS and local authority services and can therefore direct you to the right statutory service or additional provision where necessary.
We offer services that keep people safe and well in the community, prevent their needs from escalating, support independent living and empower people to know their rights and to access the support and care that they are entitled to.
Our Shared Lives carers and support workers offer a non-judgemental space, empathy, acceptance and reassurance, and help to normalise experiences and reduce stigma. Whether it’s a listening ear, practical help, friendship, or a social activity, they can make coping with life’s challenges that bit easier.
If you are looking for support either for yourself, or for a loved one, please get in touch. We can speak informally over the phone to offer initial advice and guidance, or we can arrange a face-to-face meeting at a venue of your choosing, to discuss all the options that are available to you.
