CQC Registered Manager, Doncaster

The Avalon Group is looking for an experienced and values-driven Registered Manager to lead our services in Doncaster.
The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can combine strong operational leadership with a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support. As Registered Manager, you will provide leadership and regulatory oversight across our Supported Living, Community Care and Shared Lives services, ensuring people receive safe, high-quality support that promotes choice, independence and positive outcomes.
What’s involved
As Registered Manager, you will lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of services across the locality. You will be responsible for:
- Providing strong, effective leadership to the locality team and ensuring consistently high standards of service delivery.
- Acting as the Registered Manager for the service and ensuring compliance with CQC requirements, legislation and organisational policies.
- Leading the ongoing development and improvement of our services.
- Supporting the growth and development of our Supported Living and Shared Lives services.
- Building positive relationships with commissioners, social workers, health professionals, housing providers, advocacy services, community organisations and other key stakeholders.
- Monitoring service quality, performance, referrals, vacancies and occupancy, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Supporting effective recruitment, development and retention of high-quality Support Workers and Shared Lives carers.
- Ensuring robust safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and quality assurance arrangements are in place.
- Developing and supporting managers and teams through effective supervision, coaching, mentoring and reflective practice.
- Managing resources and budgets effectively and ensuring appropriate financial oversight.
- Supporting business development activity, including market engagement, tender responses and mobilisation of new services.
- Representing The Avalon Group positively within local and regional forums and partnership networks.
- Participating in the locality’s out-of-hours on-call service.
You will play a key role in ensuring our services remain inspection-ready, meet CQC Fundamental Standards and reflect Shared Lives Plus guidance, Care Act requirements, safeguarding legislation and our contractual obligations.

Please note: The successful candidate will also be required to register with the relevant regulatory body as the Registered Manager for the locality.
