Full-time and Part-time hours available.

The Avalon Group is looking for driven, enthusiastic people who want to make a positive difference to the lives of others and themselves. People like you! The posts start from 20 hours per week, but we can offer more hours to those wanting to commit additional time. These posts will include some weekend and evening work, as well as sleepover shifts so we require workers to be flexible and able to work to a rota. We will work with you from the very start to identify your individual career goals so that we can support you to become exactly who you want to be.

Who are we?

We are an award-winning charity providing support to a wide range of individuals including those with learning and/or physical disabilities, dementia or mental health problems. We pride ourselves on spending quality time with our customers and do not undertake 15 or 30 minute calls.

What does the role involve?

As a Support Worker you will listen to our customers, what they want to do and what they want to achieve. Your approach will be specifically tailored to the person you are supporting, working towards their goals and aspirations. You will build a great relationship with the people you support, and will see the difference you make to their lives on a daily basis. We have a diverse customer base, including people with learning disabilities, complex needs, mental health issues and dementia.

Some of the roles available will involve travel therefore being a car driver is desirable, with customers located in the Stockton and Middlesbrough areas.

Why work for us?

We offer a fantastic benefits package which includes award winning training, personalised career journies, discount packages at high street retailers and leisure companies such as M&S, Boots, Apple, Sports Direct and Tussauds, a 24/7 employee helpline, paid DBS certificate and we pay your travel expenses between calls.

Other perks include not having to wear a uniform and a fast-track application process (where possible) so that you can start working for us within a month. We offer various hours of work and provide a rewarding working environment to ensure you experience a fulfilling care career.

Who can apply?

Anyone! You don’t need experience, just the drive and compassion to help our customers achieve their goals. Being a car driver would be highly advantageous but is not necessary for all roles. We have full and part-time hours available so get in touch and we will get you started.

*Full-time and Part-time hours available, please enquire for more information.*
